A very popular introduction at the 2024 Arizona Winter Rock Shows was a new marcascite from Sumatra, Indonesia. It features intense red, orange, and gold agate infused with intricately defined marcasite blooms, colorful tubular intrusions, as well as dusy pockets.  This striking combination makes gorgeous finished pieces, and takes a superior polish.  It is a bit messy to work with, but produces brilliant finished work. This Red Marcasite will make a significant addition to any collection and stunning jewelry pieces.
