Snowflake Laguna
Snowflake Laguna was a new introduction at the 2024 Quartzsite Rock and Gem Shows. This quartz and barite composite showcases a variety of delicate and intricate snowflake patterns. The material is prone to drusy pockets and pitting that can either be worked around or included in the cabochon design. The barite portion of the rock is about a 4 - 5 on the Mohs scale so it is a bit soft but still is easy to work with and held up well through the polishing process.
